Dr. Adi Malhotra is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Coastal Gastroenterology Assoc, located in Webster. He moved to the US in 2003. After a year of research training at Yale University, he moved to Texas where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at UTMB, Galveston, and MD Anderson Cancer Institute. He has been serving the greater Galveston community for the last 20 years.
His team also includes two nurse practitioners, Jesseca Izquierdo and Destanie Bankston. Both of them have been trained and worked with Dr. Malhotra in the field of GI and Liver. He has hired Dr. Mahvish Khalid to help expand the group and provide GI care to the community. The presence of Dr. Khalid would be especially beneficial to the female patients who are waiting a few weeks to months to see a female gastroenterologist in the community.

Dr Mahvish Khalid
Dr. Mahvish Khalid is a gastroenterologist at Coastal Gastroenterology Associates. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Khalid treats patients with an array of gastrointestinal disorders, including gastric and esophageal disorders, liver diseases, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and gastrointestinal cancer screening and prevention. She also performs EGDs and Colonoscopies.

During her training, she was the Chief Fellow and participated in multiple research articles.
